The Selvedge Bar project was born as a celebration of denim in its purest and most exclusive form. The result is a capsule collection made from high-quality 100% cotton denim fabrics, each with a special feature that makes every piece unique: organic Japanese, Italian, and American fabrics, vegetable indigo dyes, mélange-effect weaves, and stone-washed finishes. However, there is one detail that they all share: the selvedge. A selvedge piece adds a touch of sophistication to the wardrobe of those who choose it. They are timeless, and over time they acquire value and personality. This jacket is made in Italy from exclusive Japanese denim by Kurabo, woven on 1950s looms in the Kojima region. Its rope-dyed dark indigo yarn features slight slub effects reminiscent of vintage denim. The slow weaving process of this special loom gives the fabric a low tension, characteristic of denim from the 1940s and 1950s. The uniqueness and rarity of this denim make this denim garment an exclusive piece.
